It is very very hard to capture this piece’s full beauty by photograph. The complex geometric design makes this piece appear to change before your eyes depending on how any amount of light reflects its many edges.
I believe this is a one of a kind piece. It is from my Swedish Grandmother’s collection made up of largely Strombergshyttan crystal. She immigrated as a child to up State New York in the late 19th Century from Sweden.
At 3.5 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches tall, with edging .75 inches thick, you will immediately be surprised at the weight and feel. At 1.95 pounds, that is a lot of crystal packed into this very appeasing and perfectly light reflecting design. I suggest it on display somewhere with bountiful sunshine. You will not regret it.
