Trio of small vintage Chinese straw patchwork artworks depicting birds on flowering branches. Straw patchwork is a traditional art form in which wheat straw is smoked, steamed, whitened, dyed, cut, and altered to fashion delicate representational works. The art form dates back to the Han Dynasty, but enjoyed a revival during the 1980’s. Each about 5”x7”, framed size about 6.5”x8.5”. Framed in lacquered cherry stained wood with dark blue mat and hardware for hanging. Signed by the artist. Very good preowned.
