This is an original hand-painted acrylic painting of Jesus at the Crucifixion on a 16x20 stretched canvas. Jesus is covered in bruises with blood streaming down his face wearing a crown of thorns and looking up towards the sky. This is the 4th painting of Jesus that I painted during the Lenten season of 2024.
It can be said that this is an update of the 8x10 canvas painting that I had done a couple of years ago. The previous painting was sketched first, but this painting was done freehand. I wanted to paint Jesus on a larger canvas.
This artwork has been completed with a matte varnish.
