Six Vintage Reticulated Dessert Plates by Schumann Arzberg. This fine Bavarian china features six coordinating classic fruit, nut and berry motifs and are approximately 8 in diameter. The scalloped reticulated rims are trimmed in gold. The Schumann Arzberg Germany bottom mark on these plates has the crown, lion and shield logo which was used during the mid-50's. This set is in pristine condition.

In the 1830's kaolin clay was discovered somewhat north of Arzberg, Bavaria, Germany. This clay is rich in the mineral kaolinite and kaolin clay is the primary ingredient of fine Bavarian porcelain. In 1876, Heinrich Schumann began producing fine Schumann Arzberg porcelain.
