This is an exquisite and unique 1930s' brown straw and fabric toque. The top of the hat is covered in a beautiful brown nubby fabric, and ends in a point at the back center. The front features a structure made of straw at the top, and lined with the same nubby fabric on the bottom. The structure is bent so it meets at the center, creating two gorgeous conical shapes. At the side of the cap, there are two brown grosgrain bows.There is an elastic band attached to the inside to keep the hat in place.A toque is small cap or bonnet having a narrow brim or no brim at all. Toques were popular from the 13th to the 16th century in Europe, especially France.
