This 1940s' light blue felt tilt hat has a flat, round shape plus a band at the bottom, which hugs the head.The back of the band has an elastic, so it fits most head sizes. The hat can be turned upwards, or can be left flat when worn. The front of the hat has 3 rhinestones, and the top is creatively topstitched. From the center of the hat there is a beautiful set of tassels made from strips of the sam felt.Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these. Imprinted on the band: KU-NEE FELT and SASSYThere is no label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This hat is in wonderful vintage condition and has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
