This hat is from the famous DOBBS hat company and is a wonderful variation on a 'beret'. It is made of brown felt and its asymetrical shape is made to be worn in a tilted position. The top is gathered together in the middle to create a ripple-like effect (ruching). There is a beautiful spray of different types of matching brown feathers to one side.Label on inside band: DOBBSPreviously known as the Hat Corp. of America, Dobbs began at 417 Fifth Avenue in New York City during 1908. The name was later changed to Dobbs and became known for their stylish dress and hunting hats. Throughout the 20th century they continued to produce high quality hats.This hat is in wonderful vintage condition and has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Some soiling of the inner band is typical of vintage hats. Mannequin not for sale.
