This beautiful 1930s small tilt hat is made of tan felt which is twisted in an unusual way at the front, andtowards the back it ends in a cap to hold the hat in place. There are two small decorative asymmetrical openings in the back cap. The hat is trimmed with gold colored ostrich feathers and two rhinestone jewels on top. Please see photo.Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these.
