The Thompson is the most relaxed model in the Advantage Chino series, which is a staple, and is positioned as a classic, wide-leg pant with pleats in the front.
The model was discontinued in Japan in the late 2000s, much to the disappointment of many.
The distinctive two pleats and the slightly relaxed silhouette with a gentle taper are said to have been the inspiration for Mr. Nishino's original NEAT designs.
Based on the Thompson, a stiff chino cloth material is used to create an elegant, trouser-like appearance.
