This tapestry carpetbag purse has a gorgeous floral design set against large castles with sweeping driveways in muted colors of reds, brown, green and golds. The bag has double top handles of tapestry edged in black patent leather held down by decorative antique brass hardware. The bag has a black patent leather opening with a decorative antique brass clasp. Bottom of the bag is also black patent leather with four antique brass pegs for protection. Interior is lined in a deep gold linen with a deep zippered pocket on one side. Dimensions are 14” wide across the middle, 9 1/4” long x 3 1/2” wide at the bottom and 16 1/4” high including handles. This classically designed carpetbag purse is from the 1950’s and is in wonderful vintage condition. From age, there is slight wear on the patent leather areas and tapestry on the bottom but there are no tears, rips, holes or stains on exterior or interior of the bag. See photos.
