He took enemy fire and got shot by a stray bullet from and was saved by his Pocket Watch when the bullet pierced his plane then the jacket then his metal pocket watch causing the screen of the clock to also be cracked. Upon his successful return he had his jacket and metal part of the watch fixed but kept the cracked outer covering of the watch as a momentum to remind himself how close he came to death had it not been for this Jacket & Pocket Watch.This is an Original W.W.ll. Fly Boys Jacket made in the wonderful U.S.A. These Jackets were often seen on flyers who flew The B-17 Flying Fortress and The B-24 Liberators and of course on those Fly Boys who also flew the P-51 Mustang and other various planes off The Nimitz and other Aircraft Carriers...The Designer at the time was PETERS.This Brown Vintage LightWeight Shirt Jacket features a classic collared neckline and a smooth matte finish, perfect for casual wear.
