This is a great set of 6 Antique Chinese Rice Grain Porcelain Dishes. Price is for a set of 6 dishes. Circa 1900-1920
Beautiful cobalt blue hand painted designs featuring Rice Flowers, Red and Green Enamel with gold accents on rim and rice eyes. Rare Hand Painted Blue brocade pattern lattice trim on the edge.
These Chinese rice grain porcelain (also known as grain de riz ware) plates are made of thin porcelain and have finely carved rice-like holes which are covered with a transparent glaze.
The antique construction of this type of porcelain allows a lot of light to pass through the “grains” and it’s a sign of quality and age the more translucent they are! Please see photos of these with back lighting.

The dishes are in very good/ excellent antique condition …no crazing or cracks with nice retention of gold…
