Crafted from gilt spelter metal, it features a seated scholar engrossed in reading a scroll. While his hand holding the scroll has broken off, the detached piece will be included with the statue. The figure appears to have been originally mounted on a base.The gilt finish remains in good condition, with some areas of wear, as shown in the photos.
