Kato Shunko, a true pioneer, was more than just a pottery enthusiast; he was a scholar of traditions that transcended borders. In the late 1800s, he established a pottery in Seto, Aichi Prefecture, and by the early 1880s, he was exporting Seto ware to the world. Shunko even had his own Shunko brand porcelain, celebrated for its delicate craftsmanship and exquisite forms. Our pitcher, hailing from the Meiji era around the 1900s, is a piece of living history, adorned with gold gilt intricately decorating its surface.

This pitcher stands tall at 7.5 , with a bottom width of 3.2 and a middle body width that reaches 5.5 .

Condition: While the wear on the paint and some fading on the edges of the gold gilt bear witness to the passage of time, this pitcher remains in very good condition, free from any cracks, dents, or chips.

We offer combined shipping to make your quest for antique elegance even more harmonious. Explore our other listings; who knows what other wonders await!
