Odette Barsa lace robe / dressing gown from Saks Fifth Avenue is made of a lace over lay with a nylon lining so two layers of fabric. It opens all the way down the front - fastens with snaps and the bow at the top of the neck. It is hand washable. The robe is dainty and feminine looking but very functional. This lovely design was so popular that Odette Barsa made them in both short and long versions in several colors for over 40 years! It was a bestseller at Saks and I. Magnin. They were the perfect garment to slip on in the morning and wear through coffee, putting on makeup and getting dressed, You looked pretty and feminine wearing one while getting ready to face the day. It was considered a mid-century dressing gown, robe, housecoat or model's coat. A practical pretty thing you could wear around your own home while lounging, relaxing, or getting ready to go out. The gown is made of top of the line materials from the sturdy nylon inner layer through to the lace overlay, and is amply trimmed with lace and double faced satin ribbons. And it is really easy to care for. The color is a soft pinky beige. This one fits a size S-M The Measurements: Shoulders are 16", Bust 20" flat.Length 42" These robes sold in the fineststores and were quite expensive when new, I had another one with the price tag still on it from the 1960s and it was $100 at I.
