Rare and undoubtedly wonderful, wide cuff bracelet by the haute couture designer, Mercedes Robirosa (see last picture). Robirosa was a couture model before being tapped by Karl Lagerfeld to design pieces for him at Chanel. After four years with him there, she branched out on her own. This piece is a rare find. Made in France in the 1980's or '90s. Wide Etruscan style cuff with pierced work in antiqued gold washed metal. Design features textured bands and frozen chain center with applied zigzag.Approximate measurements: width-- 2 1/8", inner width 2 1/4", gap opening 1 1/4" + inner circumference 5 1/2" = 6 3/4" all around. Signed.
