T.&V., Occupational Shaving Mug.
Tressemanes & Vogt, which was a porcelain manufacturer based in Limoges France, this particular green ink mark was only produced from 1892- 1907 , I could not find a reason why this particular model was ONLY produced for 15 YEARS .as the main manufacturing plant is still there but did close its doors in 1937. Those mugs were called white ware. They were imported to New York where the barber shops of the time would purchase these blanks take them to their establishments and resell them to their patrons. A catalog was provided and the customers could pick out a pattern to adorn their shaving mug to their personal Occupational style. I.e. Fireman,Doctor,Dentist.Policeman, or maybe just your name all done in beautiful 24k gold leaf, by artists of that time period. On the bottom of this mug in green lettering in Capital initials T V,in a oblong bog.
