This is a beautiful matching set of polished ammonite halves (from the same ammonite, sliced down the middle and polished to show the amazing insides). Both pieces show some of the beautiful red iridescence occasionally found on the outsides of these, though it's hard to capture in pictures. The red iridescence tends to make them more desirable as most ammonites don't have it.
Each piece measures 5.5 x 4.5 diameter, with a total weight of 587g (over 1 1/4lb) for both pieces.
