VINTAGE TAXCO MEXICAN 925 STERLING SILVER TURQUOISE FISH BONE SKELETON NECKLACE.
C1950's-1960's
This fabulous 5-3/8 x 1-3/4 pendant is set with inlaid turquoise and it has a turquoise cabochon eye. The chain hangs approximately 14 .
Each vertebra in the skeleton is linked to the next segment with silver loops and each piece bends independently.
It has a large bale for hanging and three round holes resembling a fish spine (no turquoise there, nor was there, and the interior of these holes has black patination).
This wonderful piece is stamped TAXCO 925 MEXICO MPL and it has a Mexican Eagle mark with the number 3.
It weighs an impressive 50 grams with chain, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs.
Item is secondhand and has slight signs of gentle use.
