Offered is a beautiful & unusual vintage Italian, 8.75 , hand-painted, porcelain, fruit décor luncheon plate. It features fruit on the stem with shadow leafing of red and green and delicate white blossoms against a background of soft colors of light-green and off-white. There is a ¼” gold painted ribbed border framing the plate. The plate displays three Ginori factory markings (Decorazione Eseguita da Richard Ginori” and “Ginori Italy Hand Painted) and has been signed by the Ginori artist. It is stamped with design number 031. Research suggests that the factory markings may date to the Victorian Era, or 1900 to 1919 at the latest. The plate is in great condition and totally free of any nicks, chips, cracks, or other damage with some minor light age related wear. There is a small area on the back where the glaze is missing.
The plate would display beautifully and make a lovely addition to your collection, or a great gift for someone who collects Italian Victorian porcelain.
