Vintage Early American Nemadji Pottery Badlands Clay Vase North Dakota Rare! A 6" wide mouth vase made with North Dakota Badlands clay sourced in the tribal lands. The unique swirl pattern was achieved by mixing different colors of clay. Common colors achieved were orange, brown, and black and sometimes blue-green. Produced in the mid-century. It was marketed as "Indian Pottery" to sell to tourists, despite not always being made by Native Americans. Sought after by collectors for its unique appearance and handmade quality.Preloved with one small defect. See last picture. Please look at all pictures closely and ask questions before buying.
