First edition, first printing hardcover copy of Dōgen & The Kōan Tradition: A Tale of Two Shōbōgenzō Texts by Steven Heine (SUNY Press, 1994). A study on the Chinese religion / spirituality / philosophy texts, with commentaries and interpretation by Heine. Moderate rubbing/scuffing to covers and shelf wear around the edges. Corners bumped. Foxing to pages, mostly limited to outer edges of text block and endpapers. A few instances of mildly split binding though spine remains fairly straight. Other than aforementioned foxing, all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
