This is a set of two real arm badges for the Japanese Navy's 2nd Class Engine Division sailor uniform.
These are old-style rank badges that were used until 1942 (Showa 17).
The wrench and cherry blossom badge on the left is for a 1st Class Engine Division sailor, and the wrench on the right is for a 2nd Class Engine Division sailor.
These items are for summer use, with a white cotton base and a dark blue serge wrench carefully hand-sewn.
Both items have remaining thread marks from being removed, but are in good condition, almost unused, with no moth holes.
The 2nd Class Engine Division badge has a user's name written on the back.
