RAVISHING 1930s' BLACK STRAW HAT WITH VELOUR PETALS COVERED BY VEILING

What a beautiful black straw hat from the 1930s'. It consists of one piece shaped so there is a cap at the back to hold the hat in a tilted position, and the top is extended and forms a sort of a 'bowl'. The front is covered in elegant burgundy petals or leaves, and they are covered in black veiling. There is also a large black bow atone side. Stunning look!Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting.Women’s hats in the 1930s covered the hair and were used to mysteriously cover one eye or the forehead.
