Overview: Up for sale is this a lovely oil painting by listed Los Angeles, California artist, Lorraine Pelman (1915-2009). Ms. Pelman was a very active artist and member of the Beverly Hills Art League. This piece depicts a European street scene with flower vendors. Looks to me like Paris, but I'm not totally sure of that. Painting is signed Lorraine at lower right and dated 6 '83 . (I acquired this piece amongst a number of Ms. Pelman's paintings recently). It is wonderfully painted with great colors and a really neat impressionist aesthetic. Stretched, but unframed.
Condition: Painting is in good condition. No visible paint loss. Back of canvas does show foxing/spotting throughout.
Measurements: Painting measures 20 inches wide x 16 inches high.
