Year of the Tiger” is a celebration of the success and achievements of Tiger Woods in the four “Majors” that make up golf’s Grand Slam. An intense Tiger Woods is juxtaposed against the equally intense eyes of the animal bearing the same name.
Tiger’s first major victory came in 1997 at the Masters Tournament at Augusta National {image 1}. His record setting 18 under par, 12 stroke victory made him the youngest to win a major at 21 years old. In 1999 Tiger held off Sergio Garcia to win the PGA Championship at Medinah {image 2} and capture his second major. Starting with the 2000 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach {image 4}, Tiger began a streak of victories in majors that most people thought was impossible in modern sports and has become known as the “Tiger Slam”. He started the streak in style with a record setting 15-stroke margin of victory, the largest in a major golf championship.
