This is a beautiful antique celluloid covered wood sewing box with pin silk/satin interior. The top depicts a Regency era couple at a ball, and there is a floral print over the rest of the box. On the inside, there are two glass pins embedded to the left of the mirror. The center bar for holding tools lifts up, but I am not sure if it is supposed to. The bottom has turned purple. There are signs of age and wear, especially around the corners, but no major damage is present. The front closure snaps too well and can be hard to open up. Overall, the piece is still in very good shape for, likely, being made around the 1890s-1910s.Approximate Dimensions:7.25 in. x 4.75 in. x 2.75 in.
