Sebastian Miniature #63 - Satchel Eye Dyer (Farmer)In 1946, Bastion designed a pair for his new distributor, Schmid Bros.He took two characters from John Gould's Down-East story "The Farmer Takes a Wife," Satchel-Eye Dyer and his wife.No one knew who Satchel-Eye Dyer was, so Bastion changed the title to "Farmer' two years later.This partular piece was produced in 1976 as indicated by the green label.Measures 3 1/8" tall with a base measuring 3/4".Each piece is hand painted so variances in color are expected.This piece does not have the original box, but a nice gift box will be included.
