Like all micro mosaics, the florals pieces look painted on, but are actually made of very tiny pieces of glass and enamel of different colors, cut into pieces called tesserae , and arranged to form images. Each micro mosaic is hand-created, and as much as we've marvelled at some masterpieces of micro mosaic paintings and fine jewelry online, we also believe that it takes an expert artisan to hand-piece together a tiny picture using miniature glass pieces. The mini artworks set on gold tone backing, adorns with twisted rope border. The earrings are 3/4 ; the brooch is 1 1/2 x 1 1/8 . Weight 19.98 gram, very nice vintage condition.
