Up for sale is my vintage King 2B Silversonic trombone from the HN White era. I purchased it around 1999–2000 from eBay, and it was my main jazz horn for several years. For the past 10–15 years, it’s mostly been in storage, serving as a backup jazz tenor.
This horn has a classic sound and plays beautifully. It does have some cosmetic wear and dents, all pictured, which add vintage character but do not affect playability. When I originally bought it, there was a small bump on the inner slide. Dana Hofer (reputable brass tech) worked on it and polished it down—also shown in the photos.
I’ve gone back and forth about selling this trombone because it’s such a great-sounding instrument, but I’m ready to pass it on to someone who will play and appreciate it.
