Blue Chalcedony and Orange Agate Torsade

This is one of the most striking color combinations I have ever seen in a colored gem strand. It is made up of Blue Chalcedony and Orange Agate hand-cut beads.The showstopper is the oval, cabochon-cut Chalcedony clasp which can be worn off to the side or in back. The entire length laid straight out is 25". The overall dimensions of the clasp are 25mm x 35mm of silver with a sturdy, yet delicate closed back. Ten hand made engraved florets act as prongs that secure the oval Blue Chalcedony to the clasp.Thirty 10mm Blue Chalcedony smooth beads in hues of ethereal blues run along the strand in between every other Agate.Thirty one Orange Agates of the same size are hand carved with "The Sun Cross", which is thought to represent the four season and the Tropical Year.As an Astronomical sign, The Sun Cross represents The Earth.Some may think it's just a pretty carving.The necklace is stunning and is practical in the light of day or for a night on the town.A jewelry box will be included for gift giving.
