Offering for sale pretty Art Deco Shawnee Pottery Vase/Urn in Creamy Pink Color approx. 5 Tall x approx. 4 Wide, Marked USA. I read that Shawnee Pottery put a glaze finish on both the interior & exterior of their pottery. It has 3 barrel shaped 'handles' on each end, which extend ribbon-like downward, toward the left front of each side. Scalloped ribbing draws the eye upward from the pedestal base. The top portion has little dips in the front & sides, guessing so you can differentiate which is front & which rear. Bottom, pedestal base has 2 parts to it, the outer wider & narrower inner rim. The designs on it are understated, yet refined, especially seeing that it was made for the average citizen & for everyday usage. To me, personally, it looks like it was never used to hold anything within it. I've looked online & couldn't find another of its like or color, which most closely resembles the color in photo #1. Be advised I don't accept returns. AMH Hallway Closet?
