Gorgeous Vintage Black Beaded Coat Moorish Influence Odette

SALE!Gorgeous vintage beaded coat! The label reads Odette Palma de Mallorca.That helps us to classify this as a Moorish influence as Mallorca is an island off Spain. The Middle Eastern style includes mosaic designs, which the linear small bead designs help to achieve.Further influence is added by the rust paisley fabric that serves as 2 1/2" border on the stand-up collar, the front panels, the hem and the cuffs. The beading resemble botehs and are composed of gold and red white sequins and beads. The black background is scattered with black sequins. The sides of the coat are vented. The coat is lined.We have not been able to find much information about the Odette label, but references point to this as a label from the '60s.Size: there is no size label--52" chest; 48" waist; 51" hip; 19" sleeves (above the wrist on model); 16" across back; 37" longCondition: very good vintage--we found no loss of sequins or beading--although there possibly could be some.
