Estate pottery - Beautifully crafted pottery casserole with lid. Made from red stoneware clay and is glazed with classic dark blue gloss stripes on a neutral speckled silky backdrop. The handles have a unique design. It’s clear this piece was crafted by s professional potter and was meant to be used. The artist’s mark is on the top round handle, however, unfortunately their name is not known.
this piece was purchased by a family member for 85 from an upscale cuisine shop in Enumclaw, WA in 1984.
Condition: Excellent with no visible signs of wear. No chips, cracks or repairs. Was informed by owner that this was never used, but was a display piece in farmhouse kitchen.
