Rare Lladro Obstetrician Home Office Collectible Statue Decor Figurine

This is an incredible rare Lladro Obstetrician of a doctor with an upside-down newborn baby by S. Furio. It was first introduced in the 1971 era. This piece is depicting the delivery methods of the doctors from that era. The doctor is holding the newborn by its ankles and seems to be smiling with a satisfied expression. The newborn baby is naked and has brown curly hair. The doctor has curly hair, has a large mustache, is wearing the traditional gown of that era, an apron with long gloves which was the custom. He also has a small stool around his legs. This is Lladro masterpiece. It is a handmade and painted figurine that is a wonderfully sculpted and has intricating details with its beautiful pastel colors. The attention to detail of this piece is truly amazing. It is made with a glazed finish. It was created in Spain. It measures 14 1/4 tall. It's in excellent condition no chips or cracks. No original box or paperwork. Original retail price is 650.00.
