This is a prime piece of Indian artwork. This jewelry box is handmade by Mr. Ramesh, a marble artisan from the town of Mahabalipuram India with marble sourced from local quarries. Since these are handmade, this is a unique product with no two being the same. This is a beautiful piece that could serve both functional and decorative purposes.
Each piece has about 40-50 hours of labor including design, drawing, cutting, sculpting and finishing. These are handmade with simple tools, so expect slight angle off-centers which will not impact the functionality of the product and in most cases are not even noticeable.
By buying this you are supporting local artisans from India who are still pursuing such trades in modern times.
