You are considering a beautiful and original watercolor painting of a rural farm homestead in the winter surrounded by tall evergreens as painted by Michele M. Poniewaz (American, b. 1955) of St. Louis, Missouri. A signature can’t be seen on the front (perhaps under matting) but the artist is identified on verso of the painting. This work was previously sold at Gallery West located in St. Louis. The painting is largely finished in hues of blues and greens combined with the white of winter and is highlighted by a light blue-green matting. It is in a wood frame and protected by plexiglass. It measures approximately 19.5” by 26” and is light in weight. I am a collector of art and many of the pieces I sell have been in my personal collection for a long time.
