This set of 2 antique bronzed cast iron bookends depict a weary Native American riding on his tired horse. They’re a wonderful reproduction of James Earle Fraser’s most well known sculpture called End Of The Trail, which is a commentary on the damage the Euro-American settlement inflicted on the Native Americans. The two embody the exhaustion & suffering of the people driven from their native lands. Measuring 5-3/4”x5”, they’re in EVC with no dings or pits. They have a delightful shimmery white washing to them that adds dimension & interest, please view pics for wonderful condition. This 1920’s set is quite impactful, thought provoking, & would make a fabulous gift for a Native Americana collector, a book gatherer, or a history buff!* Due to the heavy weight of these babies, they cannot be bundled, thanks for understanding!* I don’t issue returns or partial refunds, so please view pics & read description thoughtfully.
