Killer vintage 1940's coat by Lilli Ann. The brand label is the only label on this piece. Fitted bodice with wide flaring skirt, double breasted to the lower waist and then the skirt is free flowing and open. The fabric is almost certainly wool and has a longer nap with lighter colored fibers/hairs. In the detail photos I noticed that they look almost light brown but in person, they appear to be silvery gray. On seam pockets. Velvet piping trim. The color is black. The lining is heavy black satin and nearly perfect with no holes, stains, discoloration of any kind. I found some of holes in the wool shell. I had to hold the coat at an angle in bright daylight to see them at all, I think they are very forgivable due to the small size and the fact that the nap helps conceal them. There were surprisingly few for an 80 year old wool item. I took pictures of the worst with a dime next to them for comparison.
