VINTAGE USED item. There are a few small scratches.
The scratches are about a millimeter in size, as shown in the 19th picture. There are no holes.

40's US NAVY Melton Peacoat.
Based on the name tag, it is believed to be from the mid to late 1940s.

NAVAL CLOTHING FACTORY was a major US Navy munitions factory, Brooklyn Navy Yard, which employed over 70,000 people at the peak of World War II. They manufactured high-quality uniforms for Marines and others until the 1960s.
This is from the period around WWII. It's a dark navy with a fine, dense wool Melton. It has eight buttons.
