Murano Glass Sommerso Decanter & Cocktail Glasses Italy MCM Handblown Favio Poli

This barware set is not just beautiful - it's art glass & highly collectible. It's typical of the Murano glass often seen in the finest collections and museums, though it doesn't have any labels or markings. I did find a couple of smaller sets online that look the same and are labeled Murano. They're hand-blown and assembled. Small variations in each piece are due to the craftsmanship of a master glassmaker. Made in Murano, Italy, using traditional Murano glass blowing techniques.This mid-century modern art glass looks typical of pieces made in Murano. It's probably made by Flavio Poli with very heavy, high-quality leaded glass. A similar set with the seguso label and just 4 goblets recently sold online for over $1,000.00. Excellent pre-owned condition with little or no visible flaws. I saw what may be a scratch on one glass, but that could just be a manufacturing defect. Decanter measures 15" high, with 3.5" base. Glasses measure 7.5" high with 1-7/8" opening and a 2-1/4" base.This set features a beautiful lavender amethyst color. Each piece has a distinctive "pinch" design, with dimples on all 4 sides around the bottom. They're all hand blown with a few characteristic air bubbles in the glass.
