Sixth printing of the revised edition, hardcover copy of The Herbalist by Clarence Meyer (self-published, 1970). Richly illustrated guide to the wide variety of purposes for herbs, plants and other natural resources for medicine, food, drink, leisure and other uses. The iconic resource for the home apothecary, gardener and those in search of alternative, natural remedies. Jacket protected in new archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creasing and some tears, with tape over some of the larger tears. A few small and faint stains to jacket. Boards are straight and clean but with edges and corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine remains fairly straight. Previous owner’s name on title page, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned. See photos for condition.
