Antique Russian hand-painted wooden box. “Like new”and in original packaging!

This antique hand painted lacquer wooden trinket box comes from the beginning of last century Russia, and was kept in its original cardboard packaging for over 90 years! It’s in “like new” condition and is a one of a kind piece, the artist’s name is hand written on top of the lid, as well as the name of the composition, “ The Bouquet” by Ivanova. This style of Russian folk art/hand painting lacquer is famous all over the world, it is always priced high and is always in high demand among collectors. Because of hundreds of tiny details, so small that they often had to be painted with a one-hair brush, and the time it took the artist to complete each piece - all that makes each of those lacquer boxes highly thought after. This particular one was part of my grandmother’s dowry in early 1940’s, passed over to her from her mother, who in turn got it as a gift on her wedding day almost 25 years earlier. So if my math is correct - this box is well over a 100 years old! No flaws, no scratches or any signs of wear. Grn01
