An art deco guilloche enamel box designed by Deakin Francis.This is a fabulous squared antique case-box, created in the city of Birmingham England at the silversmiths of Deakin Francis, back in the 1935. The beautiful box has been crafted with great art deco geometric patterns and beveled borders in solid .925/.999 standard silver, with 24 karats gilded interiors. The unusual box is embellished with a gorgeous engine-turned guilloche patterns, which are topped with vivid green and creamy-white translucent glass enamel. The box is fitted with a concealed six-barrels hinged lid with a pressure pusher lock.Deakin FrancisThe company was founded in 1786 by Benjamin Woolfield, Deakin Francis have over 230 years of heritage. As England's oldest manufacturing jewelers, the Deakin Francis factory remains in the same building today as it began in, dating back to the Industrial Revolution. The company was established in Harper’s Hill House (15-17 Regent Place). In 1840 Mr. C W S Deakin took control with his business partner Mr. C W B Moore. On the latter’s retirement. Mr. S. H.
