A sound of nostalgia and reminiscence from two geniuses who reinvented rock bass.
Yu Isoya, who has supported the band for over a quarter century, produces a bass sound that could be said to have made the Butchers the Butchers with his unique playing style that makes heavy use of chords and arpeggios. Manabu Hiramatsu was mentored by Isoya while living in Sapporo, and established a solid position as an original bassist who follows his own path. The two mutually respect each other and play a series of songs with only the basic structure of bass + bass + bass drum, which is melodic and universal rock that you would never imagine from their avant-garde appearance.
