An antique sterling silver figural Pill Box in the shape of a purse, gold vermeil inside and closes tight, circa 1900s. This piece was probably part of a chatelaine and was used to carry gold coins. It was not marked, but the acid test for silver contents was no less than 925. Measures: 6,5cm long (2.55 ) total with chain, 4cm (1.57 ) by 4,3cm (1.69 ) and 1,5cm (0.59 ) deep. Wear consistent with use and age, with no damage or repairs, and in excellent vintage condition. Very good size and highly collectible. 13.7 grams.
