✨This is a relatively hard to find piece of gorgeous Murano glass. Made in the 1950s/1960s by Alfredo Barbini. He was born in 1913 in Murano, Italy and came from a long line of Glassblowers and makers. He passed away in February 2007 on the island of Murano. This gorgeous golden kitten is coated in layers of gold leaf and even has gold in his collar. His grumpy face is so sweet! Displays beautifully in the light! I have not been able to find one exactly like this with the black and gold collar. There are no chips cracks or flea bites. It is in excellent vintage condition. Light signs of previous ownership needs to be taken into consideration as there is normal wear consistent with age such as light surface scratching on bottom. Would be absolutely stunning in any Murano or art glass collection. Also would be a great Christmas gift for any cat lover or Murano glass collector.
