Lladró Platero and Marcelino - Boy with Donkey - Juan Huerta 1971-74
Lladró No. 1181 by sculptor Juan Huerta in 1971. The design was retired in 1990. It has the blue third Lladró mark with bellflower and no accent over the “o” which was used from 1971 to 1974, so this figure was 1974 or before. (Because the end portion of the mark is missing, could possibly be the fourth mark, 1974-77, but I believe it is the third.)
The young boy wears a sombrero and striped serape and is hugging his burro.
Measures about 8 x 6 × 3½ , in good condition, no chips, nicks or cracks.
