This is a beautiful scrimshaw carving of a Leopard by Ron Newton on fossilized Mastodon Ivory. This piece is glued to a wooden base. This is in excellent condition and was displayed in a smoke, pet and child free home. This carving measures 3 3/4 inches high and the wood base is 3 15/16 inches wide. This piece was purchased at the Brown County Craft Gallery in Nashville, Indiana in 2007. This is a great piece for collectors of animal carvings.
