This large porcelain lidded box was made by Herend of Hungary and has been decorated in the Queen Victoria pattern. The popular Queen Victoria pattern features colorful peonies and butterflies. The center of the domed lid bears a large pink rose blossom along with four leaves having yellow and rose pink tips. The large flower is bordered by a band of gilt feather decoration with further gilt highlights on the molded swags. The body of the box is lobed with molded features and also bears Queen Victoria decor and gilt decoration.
